OMNILION INTELLIGENCE | EU demand snapshot Eurostat’s 2 October release reports 258.8 million guest nights in EU short-term rentals booked through Airbnb, Booking or Expedia in Q2 2026, up 5.3% year on year. These are guest nights, not bookings, revenue or the entire accommodation market. Why it matters: operators and local providers should compare their own demand and capacity with destination-level trends. More nights do not automatically mean stronger margins. Practical question for managers, cleaning teams and linen suppliers: are you planning capacity from confirmed local turnover schedules or broad market growth?
